For all of your photographers and wanna-bes, I must share a lesson learned today. The hard way, of course. :-( YOU SHOULD ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS check your settings. ALWAYS. Don't EVER assume that they are what you are sure you set them at. I have NO idea what happened to my camera settings, but, for whatever reason, I now have some sessions that should not be printed any larger than a 5x7 without compromising quality. Of course, it's too late to fix the issue now. BUT, it has been fixed as of 5:00 this evening, just prior to a photo shoot, thank goodness. And, from now on, I'll be checking those settings like a hawk. Because I'm just super sad. To have gorgeous pictures that can't be printed large. So sad.

Lesson learned.

Most kids find me humorous. In a goofy kind of a way. Because I'll do just about anything to get a genuine smile out of them. Really. But Mr. B was not havin' it. None of it. As I was sweating bullets in any attempt for a smile, he just looked at me like I was crazy. And maybe I am. Either way, this kid didn't think I was very funny. At all. BUT, we still got some super precious shots.

This little girl was absolutely precious. And adorable. Oh and beautiful. Loved this family. They even brought their dog, which was so much fun and make for some of the cutest pictures with Little R. This is the kind of session I could do over and over. It's just me, my camera, and a super fun and gorgeous family playin' around. Good times, I tell you.

{worth.the.wait}

One of my most precious clients had a gorgeous baby boy, and I was all set to photography Baby M. I got out all of my many blankets and props (thanks Miss Jen!) and . . . waited. It seems to me that babies know exactly when a photographer has showed up. Because those sleepy newborn babies are all of a sudden, well, awake! So we waited. And waited. And waited. And, finally, Baby M went to sleep. All snuggled up in the coolest metal tin, courtesy of his momma who always has the best stuff. Totally worth the wait, though. Don't you think?

{mr. and mrs.}

I had the utmost honor of photographing a precious and beautiful wedding the other weekend. While weddings are a TON of work (my hats off to all of your wedding photographers!!), I can see how a photographer can fall in love with it! While we thought a thunderstorm was sure to ruin the evening, God pushed the storm right through, without even a single rain drop! Truly amazing! Mr. and Mrs. L and all the kiddos, I pray God's very best for you! Thank you.

This family was just precious. I had so much fun with them on a super hot morning. The girls are cousins, just days apart, which was so special. And the little guy was celebrating his first birthday. I mean, fun and celebration everywhere! I loved every moment, B family.

Oh my goodness. These little girls were absolutely breathtaking. SO gorgeous with their red hair and stunning white dresses. I'm pretty sure those dresses would have stayed white for, oh, say 30 seconds on my little girls, but these two beauties had no problem. W family, watch out. These girls are going to be heart breakers.

Clearly, I'm so behind on posting sessions. But I'm SO grateful for all of the super fun sessions that I've had lately! And let me tell you . . . this one had me in stitches pretty much the whole time. It doesn't hurt that this entire family is GORGEOUS, but they are also absolutely HILARIOUS! And they were up for anything . . . as you can tell. You guys are the coolest ever. A bunch of rock stars, really.
